It depends on what kind of light, I have my daylight on for 10 hrs and then my moonlight on for 4 hrs roughly

the big tank has just a blue light on for the last hour or so, the rest go off a bit earlier.

for me its about 6:30 am to some time after 10 pm

O BTW do you people who turn on your lights @ like 5 am or 6am have it on a timer or do you actually wake up that early? that would suck. i rarely wake up earlier than 930 except for dawn patrol.

i dont have any live plants, so i keep the light on for as little as possible to keep stress and algae low, and to keep the elec bill down

wow.. lately like 16 because my tank is on the desk next to my computer desk. the light is on from the time i wake up to the time i sleep..
