Fred and the Fredettes
found this tool where you can work out how much each fish tank costs on you on the eleccy, but the only part of the tank which is unpredictable in electricity cost is the heater, as it goes on and off (suprisingly!!)
i am just looking for peeps to give me a rough idea, someone must have some idea (roughly)
Obviously main thing is time of year and temp of house,
how about 2 guesses, one for summer, one for winter?
i'll pick on of my tanks for you and you let me know how long each day you think the heater will be on for in total
Tank, 300 Litres
Heater, 200 W
Location, London UK, assume "average / normal" use of central heating and "average / normal" room temps
PS - anyone got any tips / ideal forumula's for tank size and heater wattage required?
i.e. 300 litres = what Watts?
