How Does This Filter Work?

Guys im trying to get a shrimp safe filter for the babies how does this work what else do i need? Well confused.

they are operated via an air pump... most low flow filters will be ok, the fluval(1) for instance can be converted with the use of a lady's stocking ( not fish nets lol)... ive always used these for shrimp, always been cautious to rinse out the sponge into a bowl tho rather than into the sink x

right its not a fluval 1 its a 2, and its the old type( mk1), but works perfectly!
all u would need is some filter floss ( or wadding from the sewing shop ( with no fire retardant protection) as it has no sponge

its the very one that i used..i dont want anything at all for it, just inbox me your address and ill post in the morning ( if u want it that is )

ps neither has it got the sucky holder thing.. but we fish keepers arnt daft x
