Don't add baking soda. It has other effects on your water, that you probably don't want.

what color is the cloudiness?
How long has the tank been running?
Do you have gravel in the tank? If so, did you rinse the gravel before putting it in?

Reduce the amount of pellets you are feeding/ times per week you are feeding them. Increase water changes (i.e. do 10% every week instead of a larger one every couple of weeks.)

I'd be hesitant to use a water clearer if I were you. If it doesn't work it may cause respiratory problems for your fish. It's better to increase water changes, IMO.

Cloudy water can be caused by a bunch of different reasons, it could be an ammonia cloud, or just particulate matter(like dirt and waste), or it could even be algae(usually if its algae the cloud is a green or yellow color). i would test your water, ph, nitrite, and ammonia. baking soda does not clear water, it raises your ph, you have to be careful with baking soda, its strong stuff. if you think its the pellets then cut down on the amount and see if that works.

Also clearing agents made specifically for particulate matter work better if you stir them in a bit. those chemicals work by binding small particles together in order to make them bigger. by bunching up the particles, it allows your filter to pick them up easier.

Also what brand of chemical did you use, and has your tank been recently set up?

im pretty sure its from the pellets its a whitish yellowish cloud i did 1 90% change even though it wasnt a good idea and then about 4 hours later i did a 40% and now its a little bit better so i think its from the pellets they didnt eat (if they ate anything at all)

oya its been going for like 2 months now i just started again i started like 2 years ago and ended like 2 months later now i started again with the same stuff.. so i think the gravel is pretty clean

my ph is like 7.5
my gh is 7x17.9 for the pph
the ammonia is going to be checked soon

1 dont feed them again till the water is clear.
2 how are you preparing the water? should be out for a few days assuming you do not have another pump to agitate it.
3 the water should be the same temp as the tank when you are changing it.

when you do feed these fellas you need to suck out food that they dont get to ...
even better feed them a tiny tiny tiny bit over time start increasing how much they eat IF it seems they are eating the amount you are currently at.

do not add anything to the water. FW FO tanks need NOTHING added to them. Folks who are old hat and dont have dead fish play with the chemistry to get fish to breed and such... but for a normal tank its better just to use the water that you have then have the chemical make up of the water fluctuate.
