Hi. I have a 200Litre tank and im at full capacity with the fish, landscape etc that i wanted. Im really happy how things have come together and im enjoying the hobby immensely. Not saying that im at an impatient or itchy feet stage as yet as im fairly new to the hobby, but im wondering what people do to keep the hobby interesting. What i mean by this is: you have a tank that is the max you can afford or even house, youve got the fish you want and with good health and good conditions will grace the tank for a good few years and you have a layout of plants and ornaments that you like. After a period i imagine looking at the same thing day in day out may inspire to do some changes to freshen things up, but what are those changes??

I've recently decided to change from mixing different continent riverine fish to doing a full on "Congo rapids" biotope, all being well I am adding a 10+" Synodontis notata to my 5x2x2 tomorow. :D

I rescape as well.

Or set up a new tank :p

Once I get to a "happy" stage with my tanks, I actually quite enjoy leaving them as they are. For me, that point is when the tank can maintain itself for weeks at a time without my intervention, but I still have plenty of work with the pruning and stuff. My general aim for setups tends to be towards bio-topes, which means that research and actually finding the stock can take months, so that also keeps me busy enough. In the worst cases, I start tinkering and rearranging the plants or trying new plant species.
