I got my order yesterday and talk about fast service. Free shipping and they sent it expidited. I buy stuff online and ususually free shippping means regular slow post hahaha. Might have to do with friday being a holiday though but anyways very quick service. Also the bag of filter floss was huge and should last me about 2 years lol. The piece of sponge though wasn't that big. wonder why that stuff is so expensive? Anyways took out the regular filter that I had remove the carbon from and put some filter floss on the lower level that leads to teh vent to the bio filter and then on top a piece of the sponge where the water comes into the rez. The water seems to be way cleare then the regular filter ever was and I like it.
The heater is fits perfectly too so now at night I can open the windows again and get fresh air while sleeping while not having to worry about the water temp.
Also think my Betta got ich but I did a 20% water change and added new meds ( i have some copper safe all inone stuff that is suppose to last a month in a tank) since the carbon probably took out the old meds which was an other issue with the carbon. I made sure to use only half of what they say to us on the container because I have plants.
Anyways while putting in heater and reorganizing the plants later on along with the water change i did earlier each time I threw the betta in my old 1 gallon hex partly filled with water, salt and the medicine but I put double dose since he would only be in there for 20 minutes at most and now he looks fine.
Thing I find strange is that the first night i saw three specs on him that I assumed was ich. So I did thepartial water change and threw him in the salt bath.
When I took him out ofthe first salt bath 2 spots where gone.
Then as i mentioned was switching some stuff around and wanted water to clear so put him in salt bath again and now he has no spots after that bath.
This morning I look and all seems fine.
