"How" do you fill up your aquarium?

I use a 1l yougurt container and a 5 gallon bucket. I rarely have to do water changes, so the effort involved isn't a concern.

I use a gravel vac to get the water out, straight into one of those big 5 gal water dispenser bottles. To fill up the tank I add the conditioner to the empty bottle, and just unscrew the head from the shower and fill it with 3 parts cold water to 1 part hot.

Ok, I think I have a way to do water changes without the buckets! 12 out of 13 tanks are in the basement, hook a small pump to a garden hose leading to the sump pump. Use the pump to start the syphon, and away we go! Hook the garden hose to the utility sink, adjust the temp, & start filling. Cuts my time in half, and no dislocated shoulder. Last weekend was a test run, if I get another cheap 50' hose I'll cut my w.c. time in half again.

I used to use a pythonesque setup, now I age water in 7 gallon drinking water containers with taps built in.

... That may sound like a very silly question, but it has been bugging me for a while now. I request you all to explain how you fill up your aquarium after water changes, what you use, and how easy it made your water changes.

Please don't say "I use a bucket"...
with a straw and a bucket ................ :hyper:

I use a Python no spill clean and fill

fill a bucket to mark 5g i think, add declorinator, and put heater and pump in to do a good job, leave as long as i can be bothered gravel sypen water out into another bucket just the same to get same amount out.
then this is the genius part, take clean water up to the top of the stairs run air hose down and syphen back in so it's a nice slow change

empty with the vac, then to fill it up i stick the house threw the window and into the tank then turn the tap on.

I just have a garden hose with a siphon in the other end and a tap-connector in the other end. When I change water I just stick the siphon-end into the tank and the other end to the floor drain. When enough water has been drained out I just simply stick the other end to the tap and fill up the tank again.

The water here doesn't contain chloramine, chlorite or other harmful compounds so there's really no need for using water conditioners, unless then if I want to give the gills and the lining of the fish some extra protection for some reason.
Then I just mix the correct ammount of conditioner in a separate bucket and then pour it into the aquarium during the filling.
