How do you do your water changes?

I do 25% water changes, garden hose in the window and fill the tank. The temperature drop is around 4 degrees not enough to bother the fish. I use a 25mm syphon straight onto the lawn, watch for fish!!.

My tanks are all in the basement. So what I do is I use a old Python tube and gravity to pull water out of my tanks into the basement drain that we have. Once the tanks are empty I use the other Python attached to the faucet to refill the tanks. I am fortunate I have Lake Michigan water which is awesome so all I have to do is add Safe to get rid of the chloramines. I usually try to keep the water at room temperature when refilling the tanks. Except of course for my one tank with my dojo loaches which get cold water. The only thing that uses a bucket is my six gallon tank upstairs and I use an airline tube and gravity to pull it out and to put it back in. I just make the tap water the correct temperature and add Safe to it, it's made by Seachem, it's like Prime but it's a powder and a lot, lot, lot more efficient. Good when you have many tanks, lol.
