Ok i have noticed that alot of people breed there fish easily and most of those people are people who have been doing it for a long time or a while or know what there doing. My question to you is how do you breed cories and live beares togther and or tetras because i know there eat there young... and the egg layers woudn't there eggs get eatin if the other fish find them?. So how do you sucesfully do it? Is it because there tanks are so big that each fish have there own territory? Just curious because i think one day i may try to breed cories some day or tetras... if i am asking to many questions i'm sorry. I don't want to annoy the community

The best weapon to perform a successful breeding program is research. There are loads and loads of articles and How-To's on the internet and in this forum relating to breeding and genus/species specific breeding. With Cory's, you need to have some place for them to go.....to ahh.....do the nasty. Try using a halved Coconut shell or similar habitat. Livebearers such as guppies need shelter for the fry. I tend to lean towards a big ball of Java Moss versus the plastic grass crap you can get at Petco.

Research, my friend, is the foundation of genius.

Yeah, maybe you should try it Riverman. Corys do not breed inside "a place to go", but in the open tank; in fact, the sexual act requires quite a bit of swimming space, and the fish owner tends to get an excellent view. The female then swims around looking for plant leaves to fasten her eggs on, though some prefer to put them on the tank glass or the filter box.
My main problem is that the parents eat the eggs as soon as they lay them- the other fish in the tank don't have a chance to get at the caviar...; but not all corys are equally prone to this.
