iv had 4 otos for 4-5 weeks and was just wondering how to differentiate between the males and females as i cannot tell any difference except a slight different colour between them

The female is plumper. She will be broader across than the fella. Once you see the difference you won't miss it. She will also get a little pouch or belly when she is eggy.
