how do u pronounce cichlids?

ive always wanted to knwo how u spell cichlid. i always pronounce it like (sick-lid) is that right?

i always use to hear "chich-ill-lid"
and it annoyed the hell out of me!
i've also heard "sich-lid"
i say "sick-lid"
but i could be wrong )

It's definately 'sick-lids', although I saw someone at an LFS calling them 'Chiclids"

Yeah I work at a Lfs/Lps and today someone pronounced it like chicklids. I pronounce it sick-lids

Aaah that's how you pronounce it I just avoided the word all together because I had no idea how to pronounce it

i think at one time or other as we all got into Sicklids...lol.....we had differrent way of pronoucing it,,but it is Sicklid........(cichlids)
