I've got a sump on the breeding rack i just picked up and I'm looking for some advice on how to set it up. I've never used a sump before but I've got a general idea of how they work. This sump was used for salt water before but they had it set up as a refugium so it will be different to fresh water set up. Is it set up right the way it is with the divider in the middle? Where would i put the ceramic noodles, the front or back chamber? I know i can put filter wool on the shelf bit but what else can go in there? Would plants help to extract nitrates? Sorry for all the questions but i guess that's what these forums are for haha

Here are some pics

Also for the pump the previous owner was using a 2500lph pump, guess that should do the job with 4x 70L tanks?

Something else i wanted to ask was could a heater in the sump be enough to warm the water in the 4 tanks or would i need a seperate heater for each tank?

Could i do water changes from the sump rather than taking water out of each tank?
