Yep, royal panaques and several others need to have bogwood in their diets.

I think hes eating it. He changed color again too. I will check out the panaques

He looks like an LDA 38 but i know hes not because he has different markings on his head. That was the closest thing i could find to him. He almost looks like a Gibby but has different head markings. Also his tail isnt forked and it doesnt have those trailing fins coming off of it. I will try to get a picture

Why on earth would you want to grow algae? If you havent got algae thats a GOOD thing, whats the point in introducing this nuissance plant into your tank's ecosystem.

how long do u think a common will last in a 55. I also will be getting a 75 soon so i cna use that too. He is 3" now.

Hi there Fishy411. n my experience commons grow rather slowly and he should be ok in the 55 for a while longer. At 3" he should be fine. When he has difficulty moving or trouble eating alae etc, then i would move him.

ok sounds good. I am also gonna be getting a 75 so He should be able to tur naround a little better in that
