I want to vacuum the bad stuff up at the bottom of the fry tank but the fry also hang out at the bottom and they will get sucked up if I take the intake guard off the siphon
Well I have air tubing and I think some wite hangars... Why do I need to put the tubing on a wire hangar though?Make a mini-vac, out of airline tubing and a bent wire coat hanger...use zip-ties to fasten a piece of the airline tubing to the hanger
You'll need a bucket, and mouth-suction to get the siphon going
Lol... Their like: "Oh noooo, its the whirlpool of doom!"I have this issue, as my fry have gotten older they are learning to avoid the siphon lol
It will help keep it straight and give you more control.Well I have air tubing and I think some wite hangars... Why do I need to put the tubing on a wire hangar though?
True true to that. Thats what I was thinking. Thank you!It will help keep it straight and give you more control.
So that you can precisely guide the end of the siphon in the areas you wish to vac....otherwise, you'd just have a floppy piece of airline tubing that you can't control wellWell I have air tubing and I think some wite hangars... Why do I need to put the tubing on a wire hangar though?
Ah ok. ThanksSo that you can precisely guide the end of the siphon in the areas you wish to vac....otherwise, you'd just have a floppy piece of airline tubing that you can't control well
This helps out a ton! Thanks! But cant fry still be sucked up?Here's a pic....
You just need to be careful. This helps out a ton! Thanks! But cant fry still be sucked up?
I guess you could say that to a normal siphon then right? You just need to be careful.
No. The smaller the siphon, the easier it is to be careful and the more control you have. It's different.I guess you could say that to a normal siphon then right?
