How Do I Breed Cherry Barbs?

i have had cherry barbs for about 2 weeks now in my community tank,the males chase the females all around the tank, how can i tell if they are pregnant and i dont have different tank to put a breeding pair in so could i get a large breeding trap and place it in the tank putting some plant cuttings and 1 male and 2 females in there?
