How Deep Is Your Sand..

1.5"

but im not sure whether its my khuli loach or panda cories that seem to build sand mounds overnight, uprooting all my plants in the process.

hey, love the title, was laughing before i even clicked on it.

goldys/eeltail: 0.5 inches (for easier cleaning)
tropical 1: 2 inches for corys
tropical 2: 1.5 inches as no bottom sifters.

anaerobic bac creating gas pockets apparently looks black, so if you can't see black patches in your csand you should be ok.....unless you have black sand!

My guess would be the loach, IME cories tend to just snuffle along the surface of the sand, while loaches excavate and bury themselves.

Black Beauty, sand blasting sand/media sand is black, it is a larger grain then most sand so it doesn't get sucked up into my filters as easily. And it runs about 10.00 USD per 100lbs

I'm thinking of slowly converting my gravel tank to a sand tank, as theres no fish that benefit from the gravel and I think my Khuli would be happier with sand, but my one question is, how do you vac without the sand going up?
