How common are black guppies?

There are basically two types of black guppies; half-blacks,which have been developed into many varieties, the most common being half-black red ( silver head, black body, red tail); and 3/4 blacks, which is what the ones you are describing look like, totally velvety black body with only the head area showing any silver--a very, very pretty fish. I read many years ago that an all black guppy had been developed from the 3/4 blacks, but I have never personally seen one. This past week I was fortunate to be able to purchase a pair of half black pastels, black body with a creamy pastel colored tail and dorsal, really striking combination of colors. If you like really pretty guppies, check out Stephen Kwartler's guppy pictureshere. I have never done a link thingy before, if this doesn't work, it's www.showguppies.com
