how can i get my b/f to let me have more bettas

how can i get my b/f to let me have more bettas?
I've got Razzle dazzle my veiltail , but would some more maybe a crowntail, my boyfriend has said no more as we have 3ft, 2ft and a 1.5ft how can i talk him in to it, you guys must have come up against the same problem as bettas are soooo adictive

Rush out and get a 10G tank - divide it up and put one, two or three of your existing bettas in it. Tell him it's because they're in dire need of a new environment or they can get gravely ill and die (which isn't all THAT far from the truth i *guess*...), then you'll have several empty tanks.

Miraculously learn that you can, after all, find heaters that will work in those smaller tanks so they will, after all, work out to house bettas in them. And what sense is it to have an empty fish tank sitting around? Eh?

That actually happened to me - only the part about "i need to get them in a new environment of they'll die" was real. I just decided to share it to try because it worked so well for me.

You'll then need to get a second job.
Not only for more counter space to put the bettas, but to pay for them also.

At the moment its a case of 'how can i pusuade mum to let me buy another betta when i only got the last one 5 days ago...'. At the moment its 'Why not?' at number one reason.

My husband allowed me to get 1 betta, then 2, then 3, then I begged to get a crowntail, so I ended up with 4 bettas...he says I have too much already..no more bettas for me! Actually no more tanks for me...if I can put them in my 20g I can go buy but no extra little tanks around! Of course I cant put any in my 20g!! I think he'll crack when I get a bigger apartment though..I alrady have a 10g in the box sitting there waiting for a bigger place to set up.

I might try the " if i left it in the shop it would've died in that condition" approach and see if that works

Yes but read what he says winning bid takes all so if you bid £4.99 thats 100 tanks are yours at £499.00 just buy a betta..........you could just leave some picture of the bettas off my website in a folder i dont mind you copying them and keep looking at them when he is arround........

My husband got over that soon enough....and now look what I've done He used to say "pfff,another one?!", now he doesn't even know what's what

Yes it was like my wife she said not another Betta, she come with me to pick my last import at the airport, just the 120 which is one box, i put that in the car now we also had her mother with us as she had a stroke last year and don't get out much so i get back in and said now were do we put that lot as a trailer come round the corner with fifty odd boxes with live tropical fish written on them i have never seen her looked so worried she said they cant be yours...........no only kidding........but she has grown to accept them..... (no Choice really)............
