How Aggressive Are Exodons?

how aggressive are exodons? my friend says his are just like any other tetra but some places on the web liken them to mini piranha's...any clues?

IME, far worse than any piranah.
the only fish they will leave alone are large CAEs and heavily armoured catfish
like doras.

They are not a community fish in any way shape or form.

In the wild they are specialist scale and fin eaters meaning they strip the scales and fins from living larger fish, smaller fish just get chewed up and swallowed.

As wolf says they are deffinately not community fish and are definately not like other tetras.

They will kill anything you put in there in all likelihood and definitely tetras. I'd give your tetras maybe 20 seconds to live, seriously.

IMO, they are worse than piranhas in some cases, except if the piranhas are really hungry. I've had piranhas and Exodons living good together for quite a while until I didn't feed for a few days and the Exodons disappeared but they can hold their own.

I'm getting a bunch for my 55g in a couple months and I wouldn't even think of putting anything in there with them.

I know!!! I feel sorry for those that bought them, thinking they were community fish

Pity they grow up to 7". If they maxed out at 4", I would have been tempted to keep them

Has anyone ever had Exo's that got to 7"?

I see that a lot oin their profiles but I've never had any of mine get bigger than 4"-5" or so and those were only the dominant ones the others were about 3"-4". Definitely not even close to 7". I've heard many others say the same thing about theirs.

But you're right, I see 7" as how big they get in online profiles. maybe someone can reply that has them that large?
