don't know much about goldfish except that they grow big.

I just finished fishless cycling a 32g us tank, intending to put angels in, but...

found myself dumping my mothers goldfish into my tank, (she had them in an 8g us tank)

1 red fancey, 1 comet, don't know if the other is a comet or feeder, anyway have 3 fish in tank.

I put a divider in the tank (noticed fancy was a plodder) so the fancy had an equal chance at feeding times.

Any way is it big enough for the three?

What are the facts on potential sizes for these fish?

I know they are known to be messy, and know about their high maintanence requirments.

You could have 2 fancies in a 30 but not any commons or comets, because they are slim, fast, and more aggressive than big plodding fancies. Commons or comets should be in a larger tank or better yet a pond, definitely not an 8 or 30. If you could find a pond for your commons and get another fancy things would be good, I think.

the commons can get to well over a foot in length, ideally a bigger tank would be better, but anything is better than a 8g!

im just going to say that i agree with everybody about the goldies. why were you going to put angels in a 32g tank? they need to be in pairs and need 10g for ea so that almost elimanates any tank mates. and yes comets would get OVER a foot long!

I didnt realise angels needed to be in pairs, i just have the one and he or she appears realy happy, every time i walk in the room he/she comes right up to the tank to ave a good clock of me....if i need a partner for mine, how do i know if i got a boy or a girl to buy the right partner.

Angels dont need to be in pairs. I have a female and she is happy on her own.
