housing male and females together?

can i house male and females together in a divided tank or will it be too stressful

I don't see a problem as long as you make sure the divider is really secure.... a fair few people here have horror stories about bettas getting through dividers.

And make sure it's got a fair few plants next to the divider to break up the view and avoid excessive stress.

should be fine they will stop flaring after a few days........just make sure she cant jump the electricified fence or you may end up with a lot more bettas than you have space.......

I've had males and females in divided together with no problems. I just move them around every now and again so they have a different partner to flirt with
