Hot Water!!

Thanks for everyone's input. I had surgery so I have not been home to check the site.

The water cooler seems too expensive and complicated for me since I have 5 tanks. However, the ice in the bag led mee to an idea. I am going to purchase some of those refreezable ice cubes for your drinks. That way I don't have to worry about getting the tap water into the tanks. :)

Thanks again, Wendy :D

if you put ice cubes in it might be an idea to put them in a breeding trap to stop the fish getting stuck to them tho they dont get hurt normally its just for safety.

thats such a good idea animal friend! im going to try that, too (hope you dont mind! imitation is the sincerest form of flattery)

I got some of the refreezable ice cubes and it worked quite well. The fish tried to eat them at first but then just ignored them.

Good Luck Cutechic! :)

thx :)

one last question, animalfriend. did you try the ice cubes in all your tanks (including the baby molly one), or just in the three tanks with larger fish? the reason i'm asking is because i've got some minnows in my 5 gallon, and i dont want them to get hurt or scared out of their wits

Cutechic, I did a water change before I thought of the ice cubes and then the temperature dropped. My tropical tanks were at a good temperature so I only put the ice sticks in the goldfish tank. The local drug store had these refreezable plastic sticks for your drinks, and that is what I used so I did not have to worry about freezing water that was safe for the tank.

Good Luck! :)

thx! im going to go out and buy some too. . . i haven't seen the refreezeable ice cube sticks before, only the cubes, but the sticks would probably be less frightening for my fish, so i'll try to get those ones.
