Hello all,
Hope all are well. I have a question about the hopital tank i have Ramses in. I am treating him for flex and a little bit of ich. I have him in a 2.5 gallon unfiltered hospital tank which I do 100% water change every other day. Temp is at 80 I added maracyn, maracyn plus as well as coppersafe and aquarium salt to the water. Everytime, no matter how hard I try after a couple of hours, the top of the water looks like it has lint looking stuff floating on the top. I used paper towels at first trying to clean the tank. I then switched to coffee filters to clean the tank because they leave no lint or residue whatsoever. But to my amazement, the lint is back. Anyone have any ideas what this stuff is? I am totally perplexed about it. I skim the water with a coffee filter but it always comes back. I don't want Ramses to swallow all this whatever it is. Its like I have to sit here all day and soon as i see a swirly lint looking thing i quick grab the turkey baster and suck it out. Any ideas my friends?
Love to all,
Theresa

I read something at bettatalk.com that might be what you are seeing. If you go here: http://www.bettatalk.com/ and scroll down to the Question a little ways down the page and then the (lengthy) answer, perhaps this explains what you are seeing? If so, it seems it isn't anything harmful. She describes them as "whispy things." Not sure if this is what you are seeing but it sounds like it might be.

It could also be the medication. Perhaps a small air bubbler will help stir the meds some more.
