Ok good news! Tomorrow my mom is getting me two 10 gallon tanks; one for my sick Severum, and the other I'm going to put my smallest German Ram in because something has been chomping on it lately and it was the only female I have been able to find since I've gotten into Rams. With that being the only fish in the second tank, is it possible for me to put my 4" delhezi in also so I can make sure he is getting the food he needs since he is difficult to feed with the rest of the fish. Also, I have a second question to go with that...is it my delhezi that is most likely chomping on him or could it be my other fish?

Oh and I also have a cycling question. If I fill the tanks with tank water, how much cycling is required?

Are you sure it's not the Delhezi that's chomping on your smallest Ram ? If you put the two in the small tank together, it could be a nice treat for the Delhezi and bad news for the Ram.

Apart from that it sounds like good news having the two 10 gallon tanks.

With regard cycling, taking water from the other tanks wont make any difference, because the benefical bacteria live in the filter media and on other surfaces in the tank.

If you can take some mature filter media from your main tank and put it in the filter in the smaller tanks somehow, it could help to short cut the cycle to some extent, but you'll need to treat the two new tanks with care and regularly test and change the water until you're sure ammonia and nitrite arent' a problem.

How big is your main tank ? There are a lot of fish listed in your signature and the Delhezi grows to 2 foot and is predatory (not kept one myself).

there is little of the bacteria needed in tank water... you could move some gravel and filter media from an already cycled tank to help speed things up in the new tank...

Are you positive they get to 2 feet in length? I'm not saying your wrong, but from what I have read they get to about 14". As for the tank, yes I know that is a lot of fish listed and in the near future I will be overstocked. I talked to my lfs, and they told me they are glad to do trade ins, so thats what I'm going to do. Oh yeah, its a 75 gallon. Also sometime this year I will be obtaining my dad's 125 Gallon.

As far as everything else, ok I'll use gravel out of the main tank, tank water, and filter media. I have a good test kit too so thatll help.
