Fish Crazy
I recently discovered that the "mixed fruit" tetras I love so dearly are little more than dyed fish. I purchased the three I have from a mom n pop pet store, and the owners told me all I needed to know about the guys, except that they are painted. Assuming that the color was natural, I took the three they had home with me. I thought foolishly, if the neon tetras can be so pretty, why not these guys? I did not learn about this cruelty until I came home and came across deathbydyeing.org. I feel so bad for the poor guys but I blame myself because they'll probably restock with the same "mixed fruit" tetras. 
I feel so bad that I bought dyed fish. I'm going to do what I can to discourage that store from selling "mixed fruit" again, but it makes me sick to imagine what those poor guys went through because of the ignorant like me. All I can do for them now is give them the best fishy life I can.
