I bought some hornwort for a new 55 gallon tank. I was having ph problems with the water starting out too alkaline so I added a ph neutral powder.

It made most of the plants in the aquarium lose thier leaves. I guess it was the phosphates.

Anyway, the hornwort has shattered losing all of it's needles.

Will the completely needless shoots grow new ones or should I just dump them?

Also, my anacharis looked great and dropped all it's leaves. New shoots are starting, but is it normal for them to be healthy for a few days, then drop thier leaves and grow again?

One last question. Anyone know any good sites to buy aquarium plant seeds?

Mine, when many of the needles dropped out, took a while to grow back but then I decided I didn't like hornwort after all so I chucked it. Also, why buy the seeds when you can just buy the plants?

Sense of pride at having grown the large big plants, you show off. :)

How long did it take for your hornwort to recover?
