I tried to post pictures in my other thread, but keep getting errors. Will try here.
First pic (we are looking for new stands, but for now they are on the floor) tank on the left is Oscar and silver Dollars (hiding)
On the right is grumpy Oscar, a closeup if Grumpy Oscar,
A few of the Dilver Dollars giving me the cold shoulder, and 2 of the cute little goldfish

Thank you! I always thought, if fish can be cute it would be goldfish..lol. And baby Oscars! Is there anybody who can resist those big eyes?
I can resist them! Only because an Oscar wouldn't fit in any of my tanks and would eat my other fish... ;)

So no Oscars for me, but I love admiring them in other people's tanks! What size/dimensions is the tank on the left? It looks huge in the photo! Very nice looking fish and set ups :D

No, I can’t resist them.

I’ve always anted a tank big enough for an Oscar, because I hear they have tons of personality; I just never had the room/funds. :/

Thank you! The tank on the left is 8 ft X 2ft X20” and 200 gallons. The idea was that both Oscars would be in that tank and be BFFs and happy as clams, but Oscars do things their way and when one does not want to share space you can’t negotiate with them. So the tank on the right is for Grumpy Oscar and on the left is picked-on Oscar and his Silver Dollar buddies.
Once we have stands for them I was planning on making the decor more attractive. It is functional, with hiding spots and darker substrate so the Silver Dollars don’t have heart attacks...but not that attractive

They are my favorites! Maybe because I love dogs and they are like puppies in a way?
I love American Cichlids. They seem to have amazing personality...
My ‘Wish Fish’ would be a dovii / wolf cichlid. But I’m not sure how my husband would feel about getting a 400 gallon tank for ONE fish ( they do not do well with others)..
