Livestock: Honduran Red Point - Amatitlania siquia or Amatitlania sp. - depends on which source you refer to - some conflicting information as to wether they are a
strain of convict or a new species - one thing stays the same though! They are much more colourful on average than regular
Convicts much more peaceful and stay fairly small with the males reaching around 4 inches and the females around 3 inches.

Quantity for sale: Around 70 fry in the tank though I do have one or two LFS interested in buying
Reason for Sale: Cant house all 70 - Also wanted to offer up to forum people
Delivery or Collection: Collection from Hull, East Yorkshire - OR - I will deliver to a reasonable local area
Sales price: £3.00 each
Postage & Packaging: n/a
Location: Hull East Yorkshire
Photograph: These are the parents though this is just normal colouration in breeding and fry care they get solid blue and black and the male gets dark red fins and the female goes a yellowy blue with bright blue fins.

Very nice cichlid offered here featured in someway for the last 2 months in practical fishkeeping - also very good article about them on the PFK website. Any questions welcome.

All negotiations and questions must be posted in this sales thread and NOT by PM.

Thanks Wills

*edit forgot to mention at the moment they are still in the fry stage they are around 6 weeks old and should be ready for people to take in around an other 2-3 weeks so hoping this can give people time to take notice and hopefully come to agreements for them.

bump ? anyone ? they are really growing by the day now

bump ive still got them all they are about half inch fish now :)

Sorry mate, would defo take some off you if I was closer and had the room. Not sure why theres no interest in them.

Thanks for the bumps good to know people do want them :)

Theyve just laid an other batch now. In the worst place they could right at the bottom of a wood tangle and to get the eggs out I would have to take the tank apart so going to let them keep these as well - so yeah if anyone wants some please help :p

Could be interested depending on postage cost. Some people in London are looking for convict fry. Have a male convict and was planning to get him a female. Need to know more about them and what I'd be letting myself in for!
Can these share a tank with convicts and/or jewel cichlids?
Will they mate with convicts?
How long before you can sex them ?
Thanks

I've not posted fish before but if you can advise how and if you can pay packaging costs I'll give it a go.

I would have to say not to keep them with convicts because they do cross breed and the offspring usually are even more aggressive than a regular convict. Not sure how they would go with jewels to be honest I dont think HRPs would stand a chance against jewels. I think we are looking at about an other month before I can sex them as the females are noticeably smaller though I did spot a red belly the other day.

Thanks for the detailed reply. Some people on this forum do post fish regularly. I'll find out who they are and ask them for advice.
