So I went to Petland to buy a Common Pleco (Should`ve seen my dad when I told him they would be 2 Feet )So we went to Petland and decided not to buy the Pleco,when I saw a 1 year old one PS he was HUUUGE But yep anyways,I bought my beautiful Valerie there and I NEVER knew there were other female bettas.

I looked up BOOM there was yellow,black + red.I was REALLY tempted to buy one,trust me its that darned Betta disease .Well and I was leaving and the disease struck again!They got more bettas!There were a lot of pretty kinds too!I bought a nice betta with blue that goes a good green when in light,also has some purple,red,yep.

I wonder if this betta syndrome is contagious

extremely..... i just started keeping bettas a month ago now i got 6 and gonna end up getting more probably but atleast i know when someone like you and me buy them theyre going to a good home

its a sahme u can't keep tem togetehr really or i'd have loads, just can't afford the money of sapce on many tanks

Thankfully, my betta habits are controlled by the fact that I don't like the idea of funding stores who sell bettas, the 5 gallon tanks take up a lot of space and money, and my parents are threatening to hang me if I bring home any more pets

But I'm definately always tempted to get one. I'm hoping one day I can get a nice one from a breeder so I can support them an not pet stores. Though, I'm also dabbling with the idea of eventually (seeing as I am going to have a TON of tanks once all of my mice pass away, and ten gallons can be divided into 2 betta homes) seeing if my area needs a place that takes in unwanted bettas. Not sure yet though...

I think I have a betta syndrome.
It's called C.U.S. (Constantly wanting to Upgrade Syndrome).

My boys all started out in small containers - around 1 gallon.
Moved Harvey into a 2 gallon hex.
Got Archie - moved Harvey into a 2.5 G rectangular tank, and put Archie into the 2 gallon tank.
Just purchased a 5 gallon hex eclipse tank @ work for Amos so he can come out of his 2.5 G tank and go into the 5.
Now I have plans to get (2) 5 G tanks at home.

NOT to mention I just REALLY, REALLY wanna get more fish.

I'm a COMPLETE worrywart when it comes to my fishes. I don't know how many more I can handle - mentally. i ADORE fish but I stress myself out watching over them to make sure they're not sick so I'm always trying to give them just a tad bit better of an environment. It's CRAZINESS.

BettaHolics is right.I couldn`t stay AWAY when I first got my swordfishes and Kyle!Now I have Tony and Val but hey,he`s still my first lol Sigh,I have three but looking at those bettas at Petland,by mayyybe a few more weeks I`ll have another Betta start thinkin of a name..hmm female or male

LOL I realllllly want another betta.... And I'm even more tempted by the fact I can buy an 11 litre tank for £5, a small filter for £4 and a betta for £3..... Not sure about a heater yet but it doesn't get very cold in my room.
