Hi all,

I've just recently increased the temperature in my tank to 26oC (78oF) to induce breeding in my bristlenose and I have just noticed that all four of my hockey stick tetra's now have a fluorescent line along each of their fins. It's a very neat line and each of them have it, so I'm inclined to excluded a fin rot.

My tank has not been changed for a few weeks and the last water change was 9 days ago.

Anyone have any idea?

Eleonora.

I take you mean Thayeria boehlkei
I'm guessing they have either just become sexually mature
or are (for want of a better description) 'in season'

OOooo..goodie!

And yes they are Thayeria boehlkei, or Pengiun tetra.

What do you think my chances of getting babies in a community tank?

chances are very slim to none.
most egglaying fish tend to eat eggs, even their own.
