I set up my nano tank yesterday, and all I've seen so far are aiptasia, and one of these tiny starfish, smaller than my smallest finger nail -

I couldn't get a photo of it (my digicam is out of batteries) but this is the best bitmap representation I could get of it. So -

- Very small

- White

- 5 points

- moves across the glass

- has tiny fronds coming from the points.

Any ideas?

many thanks!

I have about 10-20 in my tank, don't do any harm. Something it bound to eat them, but see it as a good sing if there happy they will reproduce!

Yes!

That's exactly what it is, many thanks.

Anyone have any experience with these?

Yep, I've got quite a few in my tank, don't see them that often then al of sudden there will be 5 or 6. I think by now there is loads of them.
I only have xenia and button polyps in terms of corals, and they don't bother them, I think the white ones are safe as matthews link suggests.

I have wondered if they could be food for a harlequin shrimp??, they seem to breed quite quickly.
