What exact type of loach are they (there are quite a few types of hillstream loach for example) ?

Yeah, there are a few hundred species.

The two species on the picture are Pseudogastromyzon Cheni and Vanmanenia sp. (The exact species is not certain since the classification is in a real mess around Vannies and there are several possibilities.) Vannies are the longer lizard-shaped fish (the one in the middle), Chenis are the shorter sucker-type (two on the left).
