weeee!
I love them even more than I did before :hyper: Ok,ok.I'll explain.

A few days ago I was encouraging my betta club into having a Betta Rally of sorts. Just to spread the word of the club and raise betta care awareness. So we'll print up pamphlets with care info and some club info and hand them out at an un-named festivity. I also wanted to give out samples of dechlorinator and betta food too. So I called up Hikari and they pulled through :flex: I just got a package filled with hundreds of little sample packs of Betta Bio-Gold  :hyper:

They're the best!!!

Thanks
I have high hopes for our club indeed  Now all I need is a dechlorinator... I called the makers of Novaqua today (I actually talked to the inventor,lol...he's the guy who answers the phone too  ) and they said they'll send me a ton of samples of something called Ultimate which is a combo of novaqua and amquel. We'll see ;)

I think our Pres and VP (they're married) did the same thing at some point, or maybe it was from one of the show's they've done, but they had a TON of those little packets of Hikari Bio-Gold at our meetings, they "forced" me to bring home a baggie full of them, Lol. It's great, cause most of my fish will eat them with gusto (a few look at it and say, "what the heck is that round piece of poo doing in my water?"), so it sure helps cut down on the "frozen" food I need to feed, which gets expensive when you have a tank full of hungry, older Juvi's/young adults.

Hmm. Well there are quite a few member here who are in Chicago alone. Maybe we could start something like this for the Lake Michigan area?

Here's to b&g :pepsi: The spammiest forum in all of TFF

Temp~ Good news!!! Semper and Carrie started an online chapter for the great lakes area.

Linda~ :p
It's funny because I had just come home from the lfs...I had to run out and get an 8.00 bag of betta pellets  I feed them to my juvies at least every other day. They actually like them! They think they're snacks...the vt's are on an opposite schedule and they get pellets moreso than frozen. When it comes to pellets the VT's are like:
"meh,these things again?"
..and the brats are like
"yaay! it's those crunchy things that I love!!"

I've also got a ton of those HBH Betta Bites (I have like 4 containers of them, Lol) I won in some of our clubs raffles, so I use them occassionally too, so that's free food I don't EVER expect to run out of, Lol...even my guppies get it sometimes, haha.

One thing I have found is, growout tanks (which becomes the female community tank once all the males are jarred) are great for the "cheaper" forms of food, as the competition makes them eat whatever you put in there, haha. At first they won't eat it, but then they see sis eating it, then another sis, then they figure, crap, I better get mine before it's all gone! hahaha

wow... that's awesome. i've been trying to find the products here, i.e. novaqua and amquel. the pet shops here have a limited selection on fish supplies. i didn't know that they actually combined amquel and novaqua together!!! that's so cool!!!! if you try it out, let us know how it is!!!

btw, i think your club is doing a great job by taking the initiative. i get frustrated when owners don't take care of their bettas properly.

keep up the good work!!!

THAT IS AWESOME <3 :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D we need a club like yours here >:[ but its too late to submit clubs to the school lol
