Just wondering if anyone could tell me how big the Hikari Cichlid Pellets are? I'm thinking of ordering some online but want to order the right size.

The site I'm looking at has the medium and mini sizes so it would be great if someone could tell me what size the pellets are or what fish they feed with it.

Thanks!

There are many different Hikari Pellets, Excel for african cichlids which is more vegetable based and gold which is for new world which has alot of protein.

I cba to go down stairs and measure the Excel but the gold Mini are 0.5 inches

I use hikari cichlid gold for my severum and oscar, medium size, and from looking on the net it says the size of the pellet is 'Medium size is approximately 3/16-inch in diameter.' It would help to know the type of fish you have.

Thanks for the info, it was the Gold I was looking for.
I'm a bit confused now as after a bit of Googling I found them on this site:
http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/prod/199103/product.web
which says they are 1/8 of an inch which is quite a bit smaller than yours, are you sure you have the minis? (although there might be a difference in sizes as that's an American site)

Thanks shroob, the pellets are for my Biotodoma cupido, they have pretty small mouths so I think I'll probably go for the mini.
