hi, looking for some advice. i'm not sure if this is the right place to post it...
i've had 2 tanks before both had red algae (BBA) badly!
just recently got a new tank transfered all fish and all filter media from old tank. planted new plants, would say it's moderatley planted with fast growing plants.
here are my test readings:
PH 7
Nitrite 0
Amonia 0
Nitrate 0 (worrying)
P04 from tap 2.5
P04 in tank 2.5 (which i've read is drastically high!)

no difference between the tap water p04 and the tank p04. Could the p04 (phosphates) be the cause of red algae that i had in the old tanks? was thinking of getting seachem phosguard to correct this.

also it's very worrying as the test shows 0 nitrate levels in the tank... (going to test tap water tomorrow)

all tests were done using API liquid test kit, which i have used many times before

tank is a aqua one AR850 155L
temp in tank 27c
not tested KH or GH as not got the test kits yet

any advice would be really welcome as i really don't want to have to go through red algae problems again!!

thanks!
