High Nitrate And Gold Spots

Well another 5days have past since last up-date. The plants have been out for 5 days, I've left the carbon in and done a few 40ish% water changes. Also suplimenting the bettas food stuffs with freeze dryed bloodworm once every cuple of days.

He seems to be doing excellent since the plant removal and carbon, no more head diving to the sand and he looks very calm now swimming around the galss and everywhere else, all in all a happy fish I think :good: Thanks all for the help and advise.

Now that I have a bare tank with only my caves in at the moment I'm hoping to get some Java Moss and a few Java Fern for the tank and then some plasic plants to fill it out abit. Going for the Java stuff as I read its pretty hard to kill it lol and it will look good, will update pics at some point

It sounds to me like you have a healthy betta who needs a slow and cautious build of decor in his watery environment. I truly hope my own advice helped a little.

It sure did thanks. Yea it sounds like it, i will be adding some Java Moss when it arrives (purchased off a fellow forumite heer) and then when I can get my hands on some the fern later, just take it one step at a time with him :shifty:
