Fish Fanatic
Hi, I'm Kimber. I've strayed into the board from another forum (aquariacentral.com...can I say that here? heh) that is down temporarily. I have lurked a few times looking for information so I might as well join, huh?
I'm 24 years old, 25 next month. I have one 55g, two 20g, two 10g, and one 2 1/2g tanks which are constantly expanding and upgrading and more tanks in the planning stages.
55g - set-up for marine. One Domino Damsel right now.
20g - set-up for native brackish fish (going seining this week to collect fish, hopefully a Checkered puffer or Northern puffer. I'll keep you updated)
20g - Two Green Spotted Puffers, one Bumble Bee Goby, and a Black Molly. (Also a resilient crayfish meant to be lunch...now turned pet...at least for now )
10g - (My daughter's tank, soon moving up to 20g) Two Orandas, one Black Moor, Chinese Algae Eater, and African Dwarf Frog
10g - Three Dwarf puffers and a Pleco. (and a couple of guppy fry that are the same size as the puffers)
2 1/2g - Eleven molly fry, one fancy guppy and nine guppy fry.
I am giving all my mollies, guppies, (maybe) pleco to a classroom aquarium. In a few months I am moving the GSP's into a 55g, the goldfish into a 20-29g, the dwarf puffers are fine and small tank is turning into a snail breeder (upgrade from a jar)
My boyfriend has a 30g reef tank with one Long Tentacle anemone, one Green Carpet anemone, one Atlantic anemone, one Pink Skunk clown, one True and one False Percula. Oh, and my favorite the Scooter Blenny. Tank is also home to one Arrow Crab, one Peppermint Shrimp, and soon-to-be Sand Sifter or Red Star. Next summer we plan to add a Mandarin.
I am also doing my homework on future tanks. As soon as I have more time, energy, and money I'll invest in some nice larger, most likely species-only tanks I'll be making some new additions. My dream tank is at least a 90g with a ray; perhaps a Blue Spotted or Teacup...I think Florida requires a special permit for FW rays so we'll see about the latter. I would also like one or two decent sized SW puffer tanks. One project at a time, ya know?
I'm rambing on, I think I'm going through "forum withdrawals" haha
It's good to be here!
