no worries ... just me not reading before i buy i just need help with it all .

We all got to start some where mate I'm new to the hobby and have and will make mistakes just don't take the advice of the lfs as they are looking for a quick buck and don't care about the fish or you having a hard time if things go bad there's plenty of fish out there that can live peacfully together just do your research hope you get a nice set up sorted

If it makes you feel better. I lost one of my malawis today. My husband bought a red zebra and I was trying to accomadate as my husband didnt know mbunas do better in groups. Well, I had five (starting to add groups of four every couple of weeks for a grand total of 12) and the Red Zebra killed my favorite one. Red Zebra went back to the LFS today.

This is why I was stressing the aggression you would see in your 10g. I had 5 in a 55g. And it still happened.

I am glad you are going to return the fish. You will find in the long run you will have fewer problems. Just make sure to check out the beginners section about fish-in cycles. You will need to know that information to keep the fish you keep alive. Or if you would prefer, return all the fish and do a fishless cycle.

Wait, are all these fish even still alive? I can't even imagine...

Alright, as already suggested, take all the fish you have back. That tank setup is a recipe for disaster.

Small tetras, guppies, and platys are a good beginner fish, and you could also aim for small cory catfish species as bottom feeders and oto's for a bit of algae control. Do not get a plecostamus if you get an algae controlling fish, as they grow much too large for your tank.

Make sure you do the research online before you buy out any fish. pet store people tend to not really have a clue what they're talking about. Feel free to ask about any particular fish you find to be interesting here on the forums, there will be plenty of people willing to help.

Yeah there all alive .... It's really weird because I just got home from work and my shark was swimming round the tank and all the other fish was behind him ..... So weird ........ And the male and female where next to each other last night and just doing nothing ? Do I have weird fish ?

Mikey,

Normally this forum isn't rude or judgemental or anything like that. The problem is, as you may have gathered, that there has been a troll on here, under various usernames, over the last 4/5 days. This has made a few people over-sensitive to situations that are extreme - and I must admit, that when I first viewed your response of "what do you mean, they're peaceful fish", my first thought was "here we go again". Unfortunately, you've had the bad luck to have such a situation at this point in time.

This is the best forum on the internet for tropical fish, and I wouldn't argue with any of the advice you've received thus far. :good:
