Just wanted to say Hi! I'm completely new to keeping fish and have just got myself a 4ft solid oak aquarium from MA. Very excited to watch it develop and really grateful for the advice I have already received from people on here. Im from south wales (UK) BTW interested in knowing any good local shops if anyone knows any.

Have you done a fish less cycle as yet?

Welcome to the forum, since your just starting i'd definatly recommend fishless cycling, you will find all you need in the Begginers Resource center within New freshwater Aquarium

where abouts in south wales are you from? MA although expensive are regarded as 1 of the best but i know a few lil treasure shops for fish who are reasonable in south wales

Hi ryan im in newport area but really dont mind travelling. I got the tank and everything so far from MA but would like to go somewhere else.
