I am Allie, Les's girlfriend. Since he is a mod now I decided I better get my own ID before I get in trouble if I post anything.

Anyway, I have been coming in here for a while under his name reading posts and you all seem like a really cool group of people.

A lot of you I am familiar with from the other board and am glad to see you all found this one!

The best Les can figure out is, one of the admin is unable to get on the internet due to phone line problems at home and from what he has been told, the other admin went on vacation and the board went down.

So in a nutshell, all those fish addicts are looking for a new home and most, if not all, of them have now found this forum. (the most active ones anyway)

They are a really cool bunch though as I am sure you are all finding out real fast!

I can assure you that Les and I will go no where unless something drastic happens. We have both been coming here for a while and are very happy here. We go to several forums and learn more and more everyday from all of them!

I don't do a lot of posting most of the time, but I am there reading pretty much all the new posts every day.

No I am not going anywhere, even though I was a mod there too I always made my way here and posted and tried to help as much as possible. I spend several hours on the puter each day and I make my rounds .......lol
As I was telling CM this forum is the one place where it feels like family. Most forums are just a come in and post and leave and thats it......this one is different. People cut up and we know each other, which makes it nice
I have found my home here, and there is nothing anyone can do to change my mind....

For a "ittle" while I was across the pond, but this forum is where I started many moons ago and I felt a little left out on the other forum although Davey and Adrian were nice people it didn't feel like home. So I've come back home. I am pleased you feel comfortable with us, as family should.

Ahhh!!! so there are other arfs who enjoy the hobby, must be nice to have a partner in crime! mine just dusts the tank lid while i sit for hours watching, this site certainly will educate anyone who read it, everyone has a bit to add and a bit to learn, keep reading and posting, WELCOME.

Thanks so much everyone for the warm welcomes. I already feel like one of the family here! As for me being interested in the fish too, well Les does more research but I have owned more fish and tanks.......mts hit me really hard about 10 yrs ago! I had at that time....

I think that's all and I can't remember exact quantities!

So you can see, I had quite a lot going on! Strange thing is that back then, there wasn't a wealth of info on the hobby like there is now. Funny how things change in so short a time. Until Les and I got started up again this time, I had never heard of cycling a tank. And you will all love this, when I had those periodically, I would take all the fish out and put them in a bucket and then clean (in dish detergent) every thing and I mean everything in the tank. The strangest part is I hardly ever lost any fish either and I know it had to be
