Hi all

I'm a newbie to this forum, currently I have a 24 Gal tank which has been moved over from a "goldfish" (Comets & Black Moors) to a tropical tank. I have 4 Golden sucking loaches, a couple of neon tetras, Mountain Cloud Minnows and several Danios. Alas over the summer I lost quite a number of fish (about 4 tetras, 2 mountain clouds and the last of my Black moors which was quite upsetting, since I'd had it for 3 years) due to the intense heat, the tank temperature went up to around 94!, and I was changing water nearly every day for a week to keep it down! .

Anyway I'm going to be changing tanks in the new year to a Trigon 190, has anyone had any experience of these?, they look great (and easy to maintain). Hopefully I can sell my 24gal with cabinet and pump (fluval 204) for a reasonable price which should recover some of the cost.

Also what sort of substrate to use?, currently I have quite large gravel, but I'm not so keen on this. I would like to build a planted tank so suggestions as to a good substrate would be handy.

Anyway hi to all and look forward to talking to you all.

Well hello there!!! Hope you have good luck selling your old tank and buying your new one!!! Will be waiting for pics!!! :hi:

Hi SteveB and welcome to the forum :hi:

Better hold on to that tank for a while longer. If you hang around this forum you are likely to catch what we have--MTS--better known as multiple tank syndrome.
