Hi, This Is My First Aquarium

This will be my first aquarium and i will be going tropical. I have a Juwel vision 180l, bought second hand, comes with a heater and wavemaker, nothing else. The previous owner kept saltwater fish, so i have cleaned everything up with vinegar and plenty of clean water. I will be using play sand on the base and will also have live plants. I have no fish at the moment and won't until the tank has cycled. I'm waiting for my filter to turn up, fluval 206 external filter and a few other bits and pieces. I have a load of ironstone in the garden, can this be used?.

In summary, it does not recommend putting large amounts of iron in your tank if you plan to have fish in it. If there were no fish and just plants though you'd be ok.
