Thank you so very much! My mom will appreciate this as well because she also loves salmon!

Fish, more than any other 'meat' benefits from a good thermometer to check flesh temp. I pull my salmon at 125 F
If you can afford it, buy a Thermapen (Thermoworks), you won't regret it. This is the thermometer that you see on most cooking shows, with good reason.

125 is a bit low for salmon… i bake to about 145. Salmon should flake when pulled with a fork.

That's the pull temp, the internal temp will rise 5 F or more depending on the thickness and oven temp. I've pulled at 125 and ended up at 135 which is my preference - YMMV.

I mentioned that I was willing to answer any question that is fish related. A question was asked by @Back in the fold on how I like to cook my fish. So I responded.

But I don't eat my aquarium fish.

Yeah, sure you don't. What was that recipe using, guppy fillets and Corydoras skin? :p
Guppy is yummy and corydoras skin is for the win!

It's like little fish bites with mini-catfish dinner

(flashback to Sept 2013)

Hi fish lovers
My name is Fishmanic and I like fish. That's why I'm here! I presently have 3 bettas in a 1 pint cup. I also have a goldfish which I won at a carnival. It's now in a 1 quart jar. I don't know much about cycling except when I have gone on long bike trips. I hope to help the less experienced with my three days of fish keeping experience from which I have gained extensive knowledge.
Thanks  :fish: :fish:
So, do you know about cycling? may I suggest you jump on yours and cycle off to another thread.
