Hi! I’m new here!

Hi I have a 8g filtered tank with a orange and red plakat betta living in it. I have around 1.5years of experience now but the first 0.5 years of fish keeping I had kept bettas in 0.5gallons tank. The betta died so I bought another one. The second one lived 1 month linger than the first but still died. Then I quit about 3 years before I got interested in keeping fishes again. I then decided to research about how to keep them and then learnt about the aquarium cycle, ammonia etc. Then I got a bigger tank and a new betta. That one sadly died after 5 months due to me doing a near 100% water change which I did not know was wrong at that time. After that I got a new one and that is the betta I have in my tank currently.

My iPhone X camera. Those are the relatively good ones that I took. Most pics I have are terrible.

Wow! I’m surprised that so many people say that I take good photos! In another forum I’m in the pictures I post on contests are always one of the last! I definitely will try participating in contests! Do I need a certain post count to participate in them?

I think they are koi bettas but not very sure! I got the first one from a private breeders and most of the bettas he had looked at least somewhat similar to mine. Second was just from my LFS. Both weren’t labeled so I didn’t know!

Welcome! Looks like two different types of male Betta. I hope they are not in the same tank.
