i just started a new tank a few days ago for the first time in 10 years, i used to have a 55g with a tiger oscar but had to move and could not keep him unfortunately (super cool fish). since then I've had two kids and decided it'd be nice to have a tank around now that they are old enough to know not to play in it haha. we just got a twintail halfmoon betta and we're keeping him in a 30g dirted tank with a sand cap because i plan on growing plants in there and i just figured that would be the best route, idk ive never put dirt in my tanks before, or grown plants underwater for that matter haha so we'll see how it goes!

anyways, nice to meet you all and if i run into any problems along the way i wont hesitate to ask you guys
