Now i normally keep green swordtil and have been successfully keeping them for two going on three years now, but the other day i thought i try a new one, and so got my hands on one hi-fin male swordie... Now i got one that was in better condition than the others, but there was only one thing to him, he had a split in his tail, now normally from experince this would heal, but i have had him for about a couple of weeks now and his tail still hasnt healed up and i am getting worried...

The split goes right to the base of his body and i was wondering, am i being over worried about it not healing, or am i right that it is too far split for it to heal over?

Dont worry, he swims around fine and seem quite happy enough, i just thought his tail would heal up

:(

I don't know if it's the same, but one of my guppy fry before also had a similar problem, he grew up like this:

I think it is a hi-fin lyretail, and yes it does look like the photo kittycat put up... I really hope it will heal up, it might improve his swimming even more
