Hi everyone

Just wanted to introduce myself, im pretty new to the aquarium scene and looking for a place to call home and chat with like minded people.

Here is my current tank only had it setup for about 1 1/2 months before this i had a small 30L aqua one tank and from that point on wanted a bigger tank. My current tank is approx 150L

Tank Specs:
JBL Aqua Basis under JBL Manado substrate
Fluval 304 external filter with spraybar
300w marine heater
DIY Co2 system

EDIT: sorry i forgot to mention lighting
i have a 4ft 48w JBL flora tropical tube
and a 4ft 5500k tropical daylight tube
Both independant 48w supplies

I have 5 marimo balls

flame moss
star moss
round pellia
and fissidens spla

i bought the moss on ebay and was very dissapointed when they arrived as there was hardly anything

i have just bought a co2 diffuser
a co2 regulator with pin valve for a standard 22 co2 bottle
so hopefully soon i will buy a bottle as soon as they arrive and will have a pressurised co2 system running

I have also just bought 500ml of flourish excel which should arrive very soon

i still have my aqua 1 but thinking of turning it into a shrimp tank as soon as i find some shrimp at a reasonable price and when i find a good supplier of mosses

if anyone knows of anywhere then please let me know

thanks for reading

Carl

Hello and welcome Carl, the tank is looking really good. Make sure you keep this updated (do you want me to move it to the journal section?)

We have a section on the forum for sales, there some moss going on there at the moment. There's also some shrimp in the livestock section. :good:

edit, there is a non aquatic plant in there, its a type of dracaena, the one with the white edging and green leaves. It won't last long in there.

yeah that would be great if you could move it and dont worry i will be updating all the time :)

Done, and just recheck my last post i have edited it.

Glad you're going pressurized. You'll have to consider a fertiliser regimen as well. It's a good start, barring the non-aquatic that ian pointed out.

A nice large tank. What's the livestock?

Hmm i bought that from maiden head aquatics i will have to let them know when i go back. Thx for letting me know guys.

ok i found out the tag that came with the plant and it was grown by a site called www.aquafleur.com

here is the link to the plant http://www.aquadistri.com/nl/aquafleur/detail/43/dracaena-sanderiana-white

the site is dutch so you may need to translate

its quite common for Aquafluer and Tropica to sell these, as they do grow well in Terrariums, but not fully submerged. They are a marsh/bog plant. It will go for a month or 2, but it will eventually rot. It's a spider plant.

I have removed the plant from the tank, as its water change day, my flourish excel turned up thismorning aswell :)
