I am going for a 6 footer as I have seen a tank which is a steal I think 6ft x 2ft x 2ft tank in 10mm glass is £307. Cant pass that upGreat Lakes said:IMO, length is the most important consideration.
IF you start out with a tank at least three feet long, you will have greater options and flexibility.

It will be downstairs, should be ok do you think?maestro said:That sounds great!
Just be carefull to make sure the floor is strong enough for that size tank, you'll probably have to strengthen it somehow
Unless it's slab foundation, I'd still check it. If you have a crawlspace foundation with standard floor joists.... it would probably do well to reinforce it.EFCLad said:It will be downstairs, should be ok do you think?maestro said:That sounds great!

Maybe a trip to IKEA to buy a nice strong base/cab to put it on top?!
I was talkign about the actual joists rather than a base ontop on the joists.EFCLad said:It will be downstairs, should be ok do you think?maestro said:That sounds great!
