Hi everyone i'm Paul, ive been keeping fish for just over a year and i am hooked. At the moment i have one 4ft community tank with 3 pearl gourami (1xm,2xf), 3 silver dollars, 1 rainbow, 2 angels, 2 cichlids (think they are flags but unsure and 1 crab.

i have just sold 3 other smaller tanks as i have just bought another 4ft tank which i intend to use for cichlids (type undecided).

speak to you soon

Hi, I'm a newbie to this site also. Had a tank now for about 10 months and wouldn't mind some advice. Me and my flatmate have both had tanks before, so we did all the stuff the books tell you about settling the tank etc. then we filled the tank with a range of compatible fish: Neon tetras; Zebra danios; pepper corrydoras;Sunset, High fin and sword tail plattys; and two silver Mollys. Some died after the first couple of months (happens I suppose) the rest are doing fine except the mollys. They are breeding like it's going out of fashion! from the original two that we bought the mother had 10 fry, 8 of which survived (the father didn't). After that we have had a small clutch of four that all survived and whithin the last week I have put over 30 new fry in the quarintine tank. All doing well without too much special treatment but the tank will not cope with that many full grown fish. What do I do with them?
