Hi All. Just Thought I'd Say Hi.

Okay, got home this morning to find one Tetra dead and the rest of them have fins that are definitly gone white and starting to fray.

Went out and bought some interpet stuff and some aquarium salt.

Gonna do the bigget water change I can then dose them up with it.

Which interpet stuff have you bought and what made you get aquarium salt? I would say you don't want to add anything that's going to interfere with your cycle or you'll end up with even more problems. Melafix is a natural and very effective product and comes highly recommended.
Just doing regular water changes will help immensely.
Don't do more than a 50% change (if that). All you're trying to do is dilute that concentration of ammonia and nitrite.

My LPS only had that stuff and I read somewhere that salt is a good preventative measure ( havent put any in yet, think I went a little over board!! )

Done a 30 percent water change and checked the replacement water temperature and used tapsafe.

Its interpet number 8 for finrot and fungal infections.

About to add some shortly.

Aerated the tank all afternoon and they seem fine, am going to check the levels tommorrow morning and go from there.

The only slight concern is they are doing white poo's which are a bit stringy!!?
